Cabrini Linen Services (CLS), a division of Cabrini Health required a facility for the industrial processing and administration of the laundering of linen from all its Victorian Hospitals, as well as a number of five-star hotels throughout the state.
To win the tender, Vaughan provided a turnkey prelease solution for CLS that included the idenitification and acquisition of the 2.8Ha Logis Estate site and full design and construction services. Vaughan oversaw the installation of the
environmental components of the buildings as well as the commissioning of the facility. The CLS project was developed under a 20 year lease back arrangement.
The Green Star rated industrial laundry incorporates new advanced equipment and technology, enabling CLS to continue to provide the highest quality product and service available across the globe. Notable sustainability features include Class
A recycled water, eco-friendly transport and distribution and co-generation energy efficiencies. CLS will become the largest industrial user of recycled water from the Eastern Treatment Plant.
The building includes a 8,135m2 laundry and ground floor office, mezzanine, truck washing/ services area, 10 loading dock bays and 120 car spaces with additional capacity available.
This project was a large and complex project and Vaughan’s skilled and professional staff worked diligently to ensure a successful partnership and the timely delivery of a first class project.
