DuluxGroup engaged Vaughan under an ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) arrangement to explore all available options and technologies for their Merrifield Facility in Mickleham, Victoria.
Moving to a Design & Construct contract Vaughan completed both the base build and fitout, of what is now the largest coatings factory in Australia and New Zealand.
Highly automated with the latest technology from across the globe, the new factory has stepped DuluxGroup into the next generation of paint manufacturing technology.
Located in Melbourne’s north, the new facility has the capacity to produce in excess of 100 million litres per year, approximately doubling Dulux’s current sales volume.
Incorporating an automated production process, the new factory enables the company to produce more advanced paint products using evolving technology in resins with even greater levels of quality and consistency.
