Vaughan Constructions was appointed by Kraft as developer and contractor for Cadbury’s temperature controlled national distribution centre. The facility was strategically located in Dandenong at Australia’s first ecologically focused Industrial site; The LOGIS Estate.
This has allowed Cadbury to operate at the forefront of eco-friendly and commercially viable industrial business.
The site area includes a 27,000m2 warehouse, 1,240m2 recessed dock, 700m2 office, a 60m2 and external pavements totalling to 25,000m2.
The new facility allowed Cadbury to achieve greater efficiencies through the consolidation of several warehouse facilities into one national warehouse.
As stated by general manager Dane Smith, “this has resulted in greater outbound transport efficiencies and will improve customer service levels for our Australian Customers.”
The completion of this facility further demonstrates Vaughan’s ability to convert quality opportunities into strong investments by using our specialist in-house investment, property, design and construction expertise.
