NAIDOC Week is a time to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We encouraged our staff to participate in the many local NAIDOC Week events being held across the country.
Two recent events team members attended include For Kin and Country and RISING: Shadow Spirit.
For Kin and Country is an exhibition held at the Shrine of Remembrance that explores the extraordinary history of First Peoples’ service in the Australian Defence Force.
RISING: Shadow Spirit is an immersive exhibition at the iconic Flinders St Ballroom, that shares the way in which First Peoples connect to spirit worlds and expansive spaces of time, memory and place.
Vaughan Constructions is committed to reconciliation, and we aim to continue to learn, build meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and provide a diverse and inclusive workplace.
