Vaughan Constructions will be building the final land parcel of Charter Hall’s 60-hectare MidWest Logistics Hub Estate in Truganina, with the delivery of three new buildings totalling 6,960m².
On Tuesday 5 September the Vaughan and Charter Hall teams celebrated the start of construction at a ground-breaking ceremony alongside key agents and the team from Direct Property Connect.
The largest of the three buildings, Lot 11A, comprises 5,955m² of warehouse and office space and includes key features such as a 13.7m high clearance in the warehouse, a combination of recessed docks and ongrade access, a large canopy for ongrade loading, internal seven-tonne warehouse floor slab and B-Double approved access.
Due for completion in Q1 2024, the facility will also include a range of sustainability initiatives and will be targeting a 5 Star Green Star Design & As-Built rating.
Lot 11B will have a total of 700m² of warehouse and office space and will be built flexibly to cater to the future tenant’s business requirements.
Vaughan will also be delivering a 305m² architecturally designed café. To be built with an impressive timber structure, the café will include a commercial kitchen, office spaces, integrated outdoor seating and a community artwork wall to be commissioned by a local artist.
External works include an outdoor gym, terraced bluestone log outdoor seating, grassed areas, and extensive landscaping.
Vaughan has already completed 34,400m² of built area at the MidWest Logistics Hub Estate with the delivery of the Encore Tissue building (15,200m²) and the Krost and DSV buildings (8,000m² and 11,200m²).
Thank you to Mark Brown from Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation who performed a very special Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony at the ground-breaking event.
