The Vaughan team is thrilled to have taken home the Master Builders Association NSW award for construction excellence in the ‘Industrial Buildings up to $7,000,000’ category, for the Torino Foods Services project.
Torino Food Services new NSW distribution centre and commercial office is an architecturally designed, purpose-built facility located in Sydney’s South West. The purpose of the building is to provide premium, ambient, freezer and cold storage solutions for Torino’s expanding import and distribution operations. Built on a predominantly greenfield site, the 7,406 m2 facility consolidated multiple operational environments into a single dispatch location.
Inheriting a previous design, Vaughan Constructions lead a detailed value management exercise in the initial stages of project negotiations improving the operational layout of the facility, whilst securing significant cost improvements, all without compromising on the quality, timing, safety or operational efficiency of the project.
The awards were presented Saturday 4 November, at the Gala Dinner held at The Star Event Centre in Pyrmont, and celebrate the outstanding construction achievements of the state.
Managing Director, Andrew Nobel noted “Vaughan is exceptionally proud to be the recipient of this prestigious award and thrilled to once again provide our customers with award-winning facilities.’’
Congratulations to the project team and Torino Food Services.
