Vaughan Constructions has completed a world-class Dairy Manufacturing Facility for La Casa Del Formaggio.
Located within the Northern Adelaide Food Park at Edinburgh Parks, South Australia, the 8,120m² facility includes 3,930m² of production space, 1,540m² of chilled and ambient storage, 1,050m² of external plant area and 1,600m² of office space.
La Casa Del Formaggio is renowned for its award-winning cheese products including Bocconcini, Mozzarella, Burrata, Ricotta, Haloumi, Parmesan, Mascarpone and Cream.
The spectacular new facility will allow La Casa Del Formaggio to meet the growing demand for its fresh cheese and dairy products in Australia and expand into new export markets.
It will also allow for a significant increase in La Casa Del Formaggio’s milk processing capacity of up to 150 million litres per annum, as well as setting a new industry benchmark for technology, efficiency, sustainability and workplace safety.
Today, La Casa Del Formaggio products are available nationally in Woolworths, Coles, Costco and through independent stores such as Foodland and IGA. The company also supplies its products to food service, industrial customers across Australia, and local specialist retailers.
''The La Casa Del Formaggio dairy manufacturing facility was an incredibly complex construction project – not your typical warehouse construction project. It incorporated the highest grade dairy manufacturing standards, internal and external design features, pharmaceutical grade air handling and filtration system, separate high care and base care floor drainage and best practice food-grade fit-outs (such as the full tiled Metz system floor which is on par with Europe’s most highly regarded fresh cheese manufacturers).
