One9 is a ten storey boutique development comprising of 34 apartments, gym, roof-top terrace and a ground level tenancy. It was constructed on a small 250m² site, with a single laneway as the only point of access, amidst a high volume of pedestrian and vehicle traffic. 

Conventional methods of construction would caused significant  difficulty so a prefabricated modular build was undertaken. This involved using pre-fabricated modular building technology to construct offsite 34 apartments.  


By using this unique construction method, the apartments were constructed twice as fast and were erected onsite via a mobile crane in five days which significantly reduced materials handling.

The overall design features a highly technical One Stair Solution which was fire engineered and incorporates elements of stair pressurisation, smoke spill and the use of a lift as an emergency egress.
