The Woolworths Melbourne Fresh Distribution Centre (MFDC) in Truganina is nearing completion with construction due to wrap up in the coming months.
Our team is partnering with Woolworths and Charter Hall to deliver a total built area of 38,000m² that includes 27,270m² of temperature controlled warehousing, a further 5,678m² of ambient warehouse, 2,700m² of office space, and a 4,442m² multi deck car park.
Hardstand of 61,000m² will include loading docks, truck parking, truck wash and maintenance areas.
The MFDC connects to the neighbouring Hilton Meats facility, that Vaughan also built, by an airbridge with a conveyor system, enabling meat to be cold-stored in the MFDC before being delivered to supermarkets.
The multi-million-dollar investment into Woolworths Victorian network will allow for fresh produce to be delivered to stores faster than ever before.
The project has created approximately 200 jobs during construction and will provide 300 permanent ongoing jobs when it opens later this year.
Our team is proud of our partnership with Woolworths and Charter Hall and we are looking forward to sharing the finished result.
